Buzsaky backs QPR survival

QPR midfielder, Akos Buzsaky, has backed the club to come out on top in their fight for Premier League survival, as the Londoners enter the crucial final few weeks of the season. The Hoops are third favourites for the drop with Betfair Premier League betting.

The midfielder scored a sensational third goal for QPR in their 3-0 victory against Swansea, a result which saw the club finally climb out of the bottom three. Now, the battle will be on for Mark Hughes’ men to follow up their decent run of form in recent weeks and end the season on a real high by maintaining their top-flight status.

Buzsaky has established himself as a key part of the side in recent weeks, following an awkward start to the season that saw the Hungarian struggle with a series of niggling injuries. The 29-year old was crucial to QPR’s promotion to the Premier League and it looks as though the playmaker will play another important role in this year’s targets.

The former Plymouth midfielder is under no illusions that a poor start to the season has resulted in the club now facing a relegation scrap. However, Buzsaky insisted the squad know they have their work cut out for them to ensure that they are playing Premier League football next year.

“We are fighting for our lives. We know how important it is for the club and every single player in the dressing room to stay in this league.”

“We know the reason we're down here is because we didn't perform as well as we should earlier in the season. The players realised that at the right time and now everyone is focused and concentrated.”

QPR’s advantage over their fellow relegation candidates is the fact that they have a squad containing more than enough quality to go on a winning run. Manager, Hughes, will now be hoping those talented players will step up and produce the goods over the next few weeks.

The doldrums of the Premier League are likely to produce some of the most dramatic games of the season as the current campaign draws to the close. There is still plenty left to play for in other competitions, however; check out Champions League betting for insights into the European campaigns.
